Our Reception Hall is the destination for larger events and dinner receptions.
With its beautiful view facing the river and vaulted wooden beam ceiling, this bright inviting space is perfect for any type of function. Its location off the main lobby allows for ease of access for event setup, and provides close proximity to our washroom facilities and coat check. This room houses our fixed bar service facilities, and is adjacent to our catering kitchen. Can be rented as a whole, or subdivided into two smaller rooms, each of which can be rented individually. Located on Level 2, perfect for private, corporate, or community events.
Capacity: 140 seated dinner reception / 180 seated lecture style / 225 stand-up reception

Our Theatre features comfortable seating and all the amenities you need to hold your next event. Perfect for business presentations, media events, movie & game nights, rehearsals, live music performance, or anything else you can imagine. Located on Level 1, the room can be expanded to include the classroom area if a larger capacity is required.
Capacity: Theatre – 52 seated / Expanded Theatre – 152 seated
Room size: Theatre – 778 square feet (72.3 square metres) / Expanded Theatre (with Discovery Room, please see below) – 1780 square feet (165.5 square metres)

Our Discovery Room is located on Level 1, just off the exhibits. With large windows and access to the grounds, this bright space is ideal for smaller gatherings and groups. Perfect for group events of up to 50 people, this room can be arranged in a number of different ways to meet your needs. This room also serves as an additional seating area when renting the Expanded Theatre.
Capacity: 30 seated classroom style / 50 stand-up reception
Room size: 1002 square feet (93.2 square metres)

If you are looking for some interactive fun to your event, consider adding an activity package to your rental. This allows your guests to experience our exhibits and programs and provides a science interpreter for tours or various science demonstrations and hands-on activities. Options include a 1-hour guided riverside hike along our trails, a 1-hour exhibit tour, or a 1-hour science demo session and can be customized as well.

Up to 20 people: $50
21 to 40 people: $110
41 to 60 people: $170
