Spring has sprung at Manuels River!

Spring & Summer Hours: Now open daily from 9:30 am – 5 pm!

 

Friday, May 12, 1-3pm / Saturday, May 13, 1-3pm / Sunday, May 14, 1-3pm: Young Scientist – Mothers in the Wild. Come see how different mommy animals have different ways to help their young survive in the wild! No preregistration required. Saturday, May 13, 9:30am-5pm: Gift Store Mother’s Day Sale. Get that last minute gift for mom at a great price! Select gifts will be 25% off, with extra 10% discount for members. Membership card must be presented for extra discount.

 

Sunday, May 14, 10am & 12pm: Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet. Treat Mom to a delicious brunch buffet at Manuels River, catered by Coffee Matters, with live entertainment by Bailey Jordan-Neil. Sittings at 10am and 12pm. Adults $40; Youth (5-12) $20; Children (under 5) $10 +HST. Members get 10% off. Reservations are required and must be made by 5pm May 12. Tuesday, May 16, 7-8pm: Science Odyssey Talk – Gold-rich Volcanoes and Other Treasures on the Seafloor. Join Dr. John W. Jamieson, MUN Dept. of Earth Sciences professor, as he discusses how scientists map & explore the ocean floor. Come see the fascinating geological & biological features found at the ocean’s depths. John will also talk about his experience as a candidate to be Canada’s next astronaut! FREE but donations to Manuels River for trail expansion and development will be gratefully accepted. Thursday, May 18, 7pm: Dinner & A Movie. Enjoy a night out with a delicious three-course dinner by Coffee Matters followed by a movie in our Theatre. Vote for the movie you want on our Facebook event page! Tickets $30+HST, must be purchased in advance by May 17.

 

Thursday, May 25, 7pm: Paint & Pinot with Bobbi Pike. Back by popular demand! We’ve teamed up with local artist Bobbi Pike to help unleash your inner Picasso. Learn how to paint like a pro in this step-by-step class and create your very own work of art. Admission $40+HST, reservations must be made in advance by May 24. Monday, May 29, 11am: Babies@Manuels Movie The Nut Job. Baby/toddler-friendly movie with lowered sound, changing tables, snacks, & understanding parents. No preregistration required. Parents/Guardians must attend with children. $6/person, free for members, under 4 free.
